A full house along the bar
The Cro's Nest
Est. 2015  ·  Portage Lakes, Ohio

A full mahogany speakeasy, twenty steps from the water.

Ten years on the Portage Lakes. Everybody knows The Cro's Nest.

Built for the people who keep showing up.

The Cro's Nest was finished like a proper room and then some: mahogany millwork, carved columns, a pressed-copper ceiling, crystal overhead, and thirty-eight feet of granite bar wrapping the room.

Nothing about it is a business. No cover, no tab, no last call posted on the wall. What there is: a deep back bar, etched glassware with our name on it, and a mirror behind the bottles with every one of the Portage Lakes cut into it.

The Bar
Thirty-eight feet of it

Thirty-eight feet of mahogany bar under a pressed-copper ceiling — built once, to the highest grade, and warm the moment you walk in.

The Bourbon
The bourbon flows like water

Three shelves of it, poured with a heavy hand — plus four taps kept on seasonal offerings and a cold case that's never empty.

The whole chain etched into the mirror behind the bar, and the real thing a short walk out the door.
